The Intermediate Masters provides a unique opportunity for members competing at national level, such as:
This brings an achievable new goal, with consistent performance being rewarded.
The Intermediate Masters was developed in 2022 with the Rider Working Group representing riders at Novice level and above and in conjunction with the Eventing Riders Association of Great Britain (ERA of GB).
Intermediate Masters Venues 2022
The Intermediate Masters classes will create a new regional goal for riders, and the following well-established venues have been selected with broad geographic spread in mind.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?*
At any Intermediate, 3*Short or 3*Long Class within the qualifying period achieving either:
* Each qualification is redeemed as a single class entry at an Intermediate Master of your choice within the current season.

QUALIFYING PERIOD
- Riding a bespoke dressage test
- Performing in an 20 x 60 international arena in front of two dressage judges
- Plus the option to perform your test in a tail coat adding a special feel to the class

HOW DO I QUALIFY?*
At any Intermediate, 3*Short or 3*Long Class within the qualifying period achieving either:
- One (1) finishing result in top 33% of Dressage Starters in each Section or Class
- One(1) Double Clear outside of top 33% of Dressage Starters
- Combinations may compete in one (1) Intermediate Masters Class for each qualifying result that they have achieved
- No restriction on the grade of Horse
- Each Horse & Rider must be eligible to ride at Open Intermediate on the date of the Competition
- A combination, once completed an IM, cannot drop down to NM Class
- This class is only available for Riders outside of the previous season’s top 100 BE Riders’ League
- Riders must not have competed at 5* level in the last 5 years

QUALIFYING PERIOD

- All of 2022 Season until the day before the Ballot Date of the Event where an Intermediate Masters Class is scheduled
PRIZES
The Rider Working Group, alongside the EHOA and British Eventing can confirm the following prizes for both the Intermediate and Novice Masters
Riders taking part in this year’s Novice and Intermediate Masters will be competing for some fantastic prizes, including a coveted ticket for our Big Prize Draw.
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors each of our overall winners will be taking home a whole array of prizes, including:
BETTALIFE will provide 1kg of PharmaPRO Total Equine Support for the winners of best dressage, highest climber, highest placed veteran, and the combination closest to the optimum time on the cross country.
Our placed riders will also have plenty to take home, with all of the top 10 receiving rosettes and prizes. Plus, every competitor that takes part will receive a stable plaque and a passport cover from HorseQuest.

The Big Prize Draw
In addition to the prizes that they take home on the day, our top six riders in each Masters competition will earn themselves a ticket for our Big Prize Draw! The draw will take place at the end of all legs, with the overall winner receiving:
